Sharp, Thin Blade

The blade is extremely sharp, thin and long to make cutting fish, seafood and rice rolls a breeze. The fact that this blade is razor sharp really makes cutting through raw seafood much easier than with a duller or thicker blade. The large majority—81 percent—have given this knife a positive rating, either 4 or 5 stars. Since the price is so low for this knife–$13.50 currently—I can’t imagine that anyone is really expecting too much from this kitchen knife. Here are a few reviews so you can get an idea of what customers are saying about the craftsmanship and performance of this knife.

  • I do recommend that you learn how to use this knife, it is NOT for chopping and dicing, but it is cut for slicing off sashimi with very little resistance. Not a heavy knife, but then again it’s not $300 either. I love it.

  • I use this to cut fish and it’s very sharp. Obviously at this price point you won’t get something like those in sushi bars, but for what it is — it’s a great knife for those who want to occasionally make sushi or nigiri at home.

  • These are easy to keep sharp and easy to keep clean. They cut well. Single bevel take some getting use to but adds to its ability to be easily sharpened, Even by a beginner. It lacks the weight I like in a knife. That’s the only reason it’s a 4 instead of 5 star.
